How to get the most out of your LED screen?


1. LED advantages and disadvantages

LED display technology has stimulated the imagination of various space designers. LED screens were previously limited to building facades, marble reliefs and Times Square, but they have now entered the interior. It is cheaper than ever, and the pixel pitch is narrower, so people can perceive images or information at a closer distance from the LED.

 

LED is very adaptable. The building blocks of the LED video wall are smaller than ordinary display screens, and can be reconfigured into various shapes and sizes to create a new and different visual experience.

 

With LEDs, you can break the usual 16:9 digital display with different shapes and aspect ratios, integrate it with architecture and interior design more, and create new opportunities. Not to mention that today's LEDs can be used flexibly. Designers can wrap it on a pillar, or shape it into a wave or circle and hang it on the ceiling to create stunning moments.
 

All the factors that make LED great can also become its potential shortcomings. Although LED is dynamic, it is easy to overuse LED or ignore several important factors, the most important of which is what it displays. Many LEDs are very attractive and many people will use it, but in terms of content, it can be very complicated.

 

When it comes to flexible LED installation, it can lead to incomplete information-even if the content is designed to perfectly match the pixels of the display. Sometimes, due to size and shape, people cannot find a place where they can view the full display. The content looks great on a flat surface, and the client will say, ‘wow’, but when it is wrapped around a building, a pillar or some other building structure, it is difficult to deliver the complete content.
